Flooding and landslides triggered by intense rains in Venezuela have killed seven people and displaced hundreds more only two days before the country's local and municipal elections, Reuters reported Nov. 21. However, the head of the country's National Electoral Council said that the elections would proceed as scheduled Nov. 23, and that voters would be transferred to new polling centers in the event of a poll closure, El Nacional reported.
