We are always seeking candidates with knowledge of geopolitical issues who are eager to learn our trade quickly. If you are interested in applying, please send a resume, a cover letter and a writing sample (600 words max) on a current, geopolitically relevant event to internships@stratfor.com.

Website Features
Stratfor 2.0 is going to be a continuing improvement, offering a growing package of intelligence and delivery mechanisms. You’ll immediately notice three major changes:
- The ability to manage your Stratfor email flow
- Geographic and topical navigation on the website
- Special Topic pages (see below)
For additional information, watch this short video of Stratfor’s VP of Publishing, Aaric Eisenstein.
Stratfor uses Special Topic pages to provide the entire context of a complex issue that can’t be sufficiently addressed in a single piece of analysis. Special Topic pages provide a variety of Stratfor intelligence as well as external resources that our editorial team has reviewed and believes will complement our own work on the topic. While we make every reasonable effort to insure the accuracy of this external information, please remember that this information comes from non-Stratfor sources over which we have no control.
This button lets you use a news reader program to view Stratfor intelligence. News reader programs, free and paid, are available from a (constantly growing) number of companies, including Google. You can find others by using your favorite search engine and doing a search for "RSS reader."
Yes, free Stratfor podcasts are available on iTunes. To subscribe to daily updates automatically click here, or simply search for “Stratfor” in the iTunes store.
Intelligence Questions
Stratfor is rigorously non-partisan and non-ideological. We are privately-owned, not affiliated with any government or non-governmental agency. We are an objective intelligence service, providing information about what has happened or will happen, not what should happen. We make no policy prescriptions or advocacy statements.

News is a commodity that you can get anywhere on the Internet. Intelligence today is what's going to be news tomorrow. To learn about the value of Intelligence, click here for a short video from Stratfor's founder and CEO, Dr. George Friedman.
Stratfor provides three types of intelligence products:
- Situational Awareness - Situational Awareness is knowing what matters, and an intelligence professional's responsibility - Stratfor's responsibility - is to keep you apprised of what matters without wasting your time with clutter. We provide near real-time developments from street revolutionary movements and military invasions. OJ's latest arrest and mudslinging in Washington and Brussels don't make the cut.
- Analyses - Stratfor tells its Members what events in the world actually mean. We also tell you when events are much ado about nothing. Oftentimes the seemingly momentous is geopolitically irrelevant and vice versa. We discern what's important objectively - without ideology, a partisan agenda, or a policy prescription.
- Forecasts - Knowing what happened yesterday is helpful; knowing what's going to happen tomorrow is critical. Stratfor's intelligence team makes definitive calls about what's next. These aren't opinions about what should happen; they're analytically rigorous predictions of what will happen.
We encourage you to forward our Free Intelligence Reports, and we make sure to note that these can be forwarded along.
Our other work is different. The lawyers will tell you that redistributing intellectual property to people who haven’t paid for it is a copyright infringement and subject to legal action. But maybe more importantly, please recognize that gathering, analyzing, and publishing intelligence is a very challenging – and quite frankly, expensive – undertaking. It’s what we do for a living, and we respectfully request that you support our efforts. If you’ve got a question about a specific piece, please use our contact form.
The best method is to use our contact form. We always appreciate feedback. Our intelligence emails also provide contact information at the end of each piece.
